The EAC Global Connect Summit and EXPO 2025 is more than just a conference; it is a strategic platform designed to strengthen ties between the EAC member states and the global business community. The EAC, comprising Burundi, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Kenya, Rwanda, South Sudan, Tanzania, and Uganda, represents a dynamic and rapidly growing market of over 300 million people. With a combined GDP of over $300 billion, the region is ripe with opportunities for trade, investment, and collaboration. 

THE SUMMIT 2025

The upcoming EAC Global Connect Summit and Expo, scheduled to take place from 19th to 21st August 2025 at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) in Nairobi, Kenya, promises to be a landmark event in fostering regional and global economic collaboration. Under the theme, “Unlocking East Africa Community Markets to Global Business Avenues through Enhanced Trade Collaboration,” the summit aims to strengthen ties between the East African Community (EAC) and the global business community, creating a platform for dialogue, partnership, and innovation.

The event will convene over 2,000 delegates from 8 countries, including representatives from governments, private sector leaders, policymakers, and thought leaders. Additionally, more than 400 companies spanning 21 diverse sectors will participate, showcasing the vast potential of the EAC region as a hub for investment, trade, and economic growth. The summit will serve as a catalyst for unlocking new opportunities, fostering cross-border trade, and enhancing regional integration in alignment with the EAC’s vision of a prosperous and interconnected East Africa.

Key objectives of the summit include promoting the EAC as a gateway to global markets, facilitating knowledge exchange on emerging trends, and addressing challenges to trade and investment. Through high-level panel discussions, sector-specific exhibitions, and business-to-business (B2B) networking sessions, the event will provide a unique opportunity for stakeholders to explore collaborative ventures, share best practices, and forge strategic alliances
